Please RSVP, the surprise depends on it

For several reasons I need a good estimate of how many of you will be there. I have already heard there's at least one out of towner coming. Also a couple of other out of towners who can't make are sending an ecoficient gift (I guess a few slurpee's will have to be sacrificied to pay for the postage on that gift). So if you are planning on coming please post a comment at the end of this message. We only have one week left to pull this off and here's where I really need your help.

If you are coming or not I would like you to help me decide.

Should everyone already be at the restaurant and seated when I arrive with him, traditional surprise style.

Or

Should he be inside seated already then everyone comes in all at once (this will take some parking lot coordination, but could be very cool).

I won't be able to make it, but I vote for the traditional surprise (option a). It seems more simple. This is a cool idea, Joronda. Happy B-day, Mateo!

How can I miss Mateo's 30th? Being able to spend time with you and Soul will be an added treat. I might come up with Anne unless she and family plan to stay over night at Scott's brother's.

The Gees will be there. I think you have done a great job planning this, Joronda. My guess is Mateo is going to act cool and just get a big grin on, but he will really be surprised and freaking out on the inside. I can already feel the love from down in Tucson. -Scott

That's funny how my husband has chosen to remain anonymous--he IS a ninja, after all. Kudos to you for using this site! It's actually not blocked by my wonderful school district who spend entirely too much time looking for websites to block and not enough time budgeting appropriately! I vote for option a (because it's more difficult to ruin the surprise). I agree with my ninja husband, though, that Mateo will act totally cool on the outside but be giddy on the inside!
